Curriculum Development

Perkins V includes requirements for program Size, Scope and Quality. The Required Illinois Review for each CIP needs to be completed using Quality Review Existing Programs. Any new program request will require the completion of Quality Review New Program.

Faculty in schools who are part of the DVR region are continuously working on making the coursework in their programs more relevant to today’s world of work. Oftentimes some educators will go to conferences and workshops, but they also participate in local curriculum development workshops. Faculty share resources from those experiences with each other as part of the professional educator learning community.
