  Reading Integration lesson

OBJECTIVES:

• After direct instruction and classroom discussions, students will be able to discuss professional ethics in relation to education by reading the scenarios and answering the prompts within their small groups. 

PRIORITY STANDARDS:

4.6 Demonstrate professional practices and standards related to working with children.

TIME FRAME

• This lesson will last approximately for two 48 minute class periods

PROCEDURE:

1. Click here to access the lesson presentation
2. Go through slides 1 – 5 as a whole class. 
3. On slide 5 split the class into small groups (no more than 4 people to a group). 
   1. Scenarios are slides 6, 7 and 8
4. Day 2 – complete slides 9 – 14. Ending with a booklet.

1. Student participation and booklet score.
